What’s Up?

I’m Anne Watson, a pop culture addict with three hysterical mostly grown up kids and a husband I adore (most days. Let’s be real.)

I grew up in a non-Christian, highly critical home and got bullied as a kid. I coped by becoming a people pleaser perfectionist which, as we all know, is a fool-proof life strategy. (Insert sarcasm font here.)

I’ve spent most of my life struggling to be accepted by others while never really accepting myself. When that light bulb finally went on, I hit the brakes on other people and focused on learning to like myself.

Then I met God. That was really helpful. (Zero sarcasm here!) I loved it so much, I have been working non-stop with Christian women ever since.

What I found as a leader of women is that my story isn’t unique! TONS of us struggle with feeling good enough, broken relationships, physical & mental health, trusting healthy friendships, and having the confidence to use our gifts and pursue our dreams.

Then I got mad. I’m still mad, to be honest.

Then I started to wonder what it would look like if all of us women could fall in love with ourselves, use our gifts and strengths, and chase our dreams without apologizing for it anymore?

The whole freaking world would become a better place.

Now I’m on a mission to share what I’ve learned about getting over myself and out of my own way with women like you!

Girl, are we going to undo some huge lies and myths. Oh, and the dreams we are going to chase together! I get giddy just thinking about it!

One other quick thing. I have zero patience for B.S., and I’m not the holiest cross on the wall. I love Jesus with all my heart, and I actually study the bible, but I also know all the lyrics to ‘Baby Got Back’ by Sir-Mix-A-Lot and I think Deadpoolis hilarious. I say that because I may not be your cup of tea and that’s ok. Be blessed.

But…

If that seems up your alley than come on in! But don’t just sit there like a bump on a log. COMMENT on stuff! If you want to change you have to communicate!! And anyone who judges you for it will get kicked out.

I can’t wait to get to know you!

XOXO,

Anne

THE BLOG

500 x 500 blue logo with border Anne M Watson.png

I started the blog because when I was on staff at a church, a lot of my women’s leaders kept quitting. I was convinced that if women could connect the dots between what they were doing and what God was doing through them, they would be encouraged that their contribution was meaningful. I called these connections (and the blog) God Dots. Over time, though, the blog expanded when I realized God wasn’t just doing stuff in the lives of Bible study leaders. God and I have been in a “Come to Jesus” meeting for a few years now, and I’m a new person in the best way! God keeps bringing women into my life who haven’t yet figured out how incredible they are. Now the blog has morphed into calling out all the ways women are selling themselves short and sharing stories of how I overcame all that crap in the hopes that you will, too.

THE (FUTURE) BOOK

Oh yeah, I’m writing a book about all this and the agents and publishers want to know that you guys want it. It would be really helpful if you would just share the stuff you genuinely love with other women you know who need this message. Everyone is welcome! Y’all are the absolute best!
